I still remember when the coach who recruited me to Hartwick College in 2007 left for another job.
I was left wondering if the head coach would still take me or not. Luckily, being that it was so late in the recruiting cycle, our head coach, Mark Carr (still there by the way, great guy) just said simply, “So, Cahill is it? You still want it?” To which I emphatically said “Yes coach.” “OK, see ya in August.” And, that was that.
But that was in 2007. And, that was pretty ok D3 football. What happens if you are on a bigger roster, say an FBS? What happens then?
