Players, play, but parents pay.
College is a young person’s first time making a weighty life decision with people they are developmentally supposed to be at odds with - their parents.
Ironic.
Every recruit’s parent(s) is/are their financial backers.
They want ROI.
But, they also usually don’t want their kid to hate them and desire for their child to feel that at least most of the college journey was them being the pilot, not the passenger.
I don’t have any answer to this dilemma. It’s just hard.
But, the more you talk openly about it, and recognize it, perhaps the less headaches you’ll experience.
