The recruiting industrial complex runs off of inflating players’ sense of potential.

In school, the success equation engrained is simple:

Hard work = Success

Teachers and admin are contractually, but also spiritually obligated to give you the benefit of the doubt.

But, college recruiting is a different context than high school.

It is a business, zero-sum context.

You can be a very hard worker, but still only be 5’8 157lbs.

That’s just not enough to Alabama to come knocking.

But, it might be enough for the really killer D3 school down the road.

Work ethic maximizes the physical potential one already possesses, but it does not, itself, increase your physical potential.

Do yourself a favor. Find a coach or recruiting sherpa who will give you a no-nonsense assessment.
