Doing what is best for the team isn’t always going to be what is best for your individual recruiting.
You may need to hop in at Right Guard when you’ve only been a Left Tackle.
Maybe you need to switch over to OLB instead of your usual Safety spot because you’re a better tackler than the back up.
Or, maybe you need to accept that you’re the stud WR and you are needed to draw double coverage sometimes to open up the 2nd and 3rd WR’s.
No football season escapes injuries - almost nothing goes according exactly to plan.
The coaches that really know what they are doing - there’s more than you think - when they speak with your high school coach, they’ll know the story about the position switch or change in production.
The best answer your HS coach can give?
Man, so-and-so is just such a great team player, doing what we needed him to in a tight spot. He really owned it.
