Coaches have ghosts.
Maybe it was coming up short in the championship game.
Maybe it was the dropped touchdown pass in the end zone.
Or, maybe it was dealing with a verbally abusive high school coach they could never seem to please.
Your coach is probably still trying to take that shot, still trying to make that touchdown catch, and yes, still trying to inexplicably please the ghost of their ex coach.
Coaches aren’t just coaching against your upcoming opponent. Coaches aren’t just coaching you.
A lot of them are still trying to out-coach their past, too.
